STEAMDIVE Multiplier Event in Greece
27 May 2025
This final multiplier event of the Erasmus+ STEAMDIVE – Diversity in STEAM project (KA220-SCH-30BA54E7) took place on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, at the Kastellaki Hall of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was jointly organised by the three Heraklion-based project partners: Oloklirosi – Lifelong Learning Centre, FORTH – Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas, and the 11th General Lyceum of Heraklion.
The event brought together educators, education institutions, cultural organisations, and civic society actors with an interest in inclusive pedagogies that combine science and art. Participants had the opportunity to explore how creativity and diversity can be integrated into STEAM education practices.
Programme Highlights:
- Welcome & Opening Remarks from local educational authorities and regional representatives.
- Overview of the STEAMDIVE Curriculum, presented by Amalia Niniraki (Director of Oloklirosi).
- Student Involvement in the STEAMDIVE Project, by Manolis Theodoromanolakis & Maria Sioumbara (11th Lyceum).

The screening of the student-created short films—which addressed topics of gender, race, and SEN(D)—was a particular highlight. These films were the result of a months-long creative process supported by the project’s workshops in scriptwriting, directing, and post-production.
The event received enthusiastic feedback from participants, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in education and the power of art to foster empathy, inclusion, and self-expression. Teachers and guests expressed strong interest in continuing similar initiatives in both formal and non-formal educational settings. The event marked the culmination of the STEAMDIVE project’s dissemination phase, celebrating its achievements and paving the way for future synergies in inclusive STEAM learning.
